Responsibility/Leadership

Teen camp at Camp TaiwanMiddle school students who attend Camp Taiwan love the activities and the time they spend getting to new friends, and this year they can take their experience even further. This summer one focus of middle school camper counselors will be leadership skills and personal responsibility. When opportunities allow, campers will be given chances to lead younger campers through carefully-selected camp events.

Age-Appropriate Instruction

Teen camp instructionWhile teen campers participate in all camp adventure activities, instruction is based on age and skill level. Check the Activities Page to see how activities are tailored to this age group. Additionally, Middle School campers are able to participate exclusive ‘older camper’ adventure activities such as, big river tracing and high rope elements like the Giant’s Ladder.

Privileges

Teen activities kayakingTeen campers are different than youth and mini campers and such they are offered priveleges others are not. Among these privileges are later sleep times, some separate evening program activities and more freedom to choose their rest hour activities. These priveleges, of course, come with responsibilities and counselors are there to help mentor these older campers assitst them in making the right choices.
