Dear Parents,
Our last group of grade four campers were greeted this morning with rainy weather. It didn't dampen their spirits, however, as smiling, laughing campers got off the buses and headed for shelter. We quickly got them all checked in to their tent areas and before long, we had gathered in the main hall to go over the camp rules and schedule. After a quick snack, the fourth graders already at camp started filing into the main hall -- it is crossover day! We all played games in the dining room together before lunch then we said goodbye to the other group. Today's fourth graders followed this schedule.
Brown Team: Check in/rules, games, lunch, ecology, rock climbing
Pink Team: Check in/rules, games, lunch, rock climbing, tie dye
Purple Team: Check in/rules, games, lunch, tie dye, zip line
Campers are headed back to their tent areas. They will get cleaned up for dinner and then we will all meet in the main hall. After dinner, campers will have a chance to write all about their first day in their camp journals. Tonight's evening program is the opening campfire. We will roast marshmallows, play games, and, of course, eat some S'mores!
